This chandelier has an old pattern pierced into the top and bottom cones.  If your decor is early country, folk art, rustic or primitive, the pierced chandelier would be a perfect fit.

A detail photo on the larger version of the Classic Double Cone Chandelier (Pierced),depicts a cone in the early stage of being hand-formed on a blowhorn stake.  To reach this point we start with a flat piece of tin, and pierce the pattern into the backside of what will become the separate cones.  To accomplish this, we use a point punch, a small lamp makers chisel and a tinners hammer.  The ends of the cones are then folded approximately l/8" in opposite directions.  When the cone is fully hand-formed on the blowhorn stake, these small folds will be "joined and set" to produce the vertical seam.
